RACOBAO'S main goal is to help our community prosper by providing support and services to those affected by AIDS and HIV.

We have established five key objectives to reach that goal.

 

 

Objective 1

Promote responsible health behavior among youth and women at risk of HIV infection.

Key Activities

  • Advocate for formulation of gender sensitive and human rights policies in relation to HIV/AIDS.
  • Promote sustained positive behavioral change and living among high risk group.
  • Support HIV AIDS affected households to improve sanitation and hygiene.

 

Objective 2

Improved adherence and accessibility to ART and other related services.

Key Activities

  • Building strong networks to enhance our efforts.
  • Provide PLWAs with transport, psycho- social and nutritional food stuffs
  • Support Volunteer AIDS Counselors and Social Support Groups to provide psychosocial services to PLWAs and others.

 

Objective 3

Promote community based socio-economic initiatives for  affected people.

Key Activities

  • Train community groups in entrepreneurship skills.
  • Provide start- up capital to those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS
  • Train youth out of school from HIV/AIDS affected families in vocational skills.
  • Train community groups in improved agriculture, environmental management and water harvesting.

 

Objective 4

Strengthened institutional capacity of localized RACOBAO to achieve its mission.

Key Activities

  • Acquire resources to sustain RACOBAO.
  • Develop policies, systems and structures to guide the operations of the organization.
  • Enhance staff and Board of Directors competencies to provide quality services.
  • Construction and equipping office and conference facilities

 

Objective 5

Improved access to food, housing and sanitation throughout the year among the 250 most affected families headed by children, PWAs and the elderly grand parents.
